Well, The Oscar Blues Brewing Tasting appeared to be a hit at Good-Ta-Go. I do not know if any other club members were there as the only one I have met in person thus far is Blaine. I thoroughly enjoyed the three brews available for tasting. I don't usually care for hoppy beers but even the "Dale's Pale Ale" was very good! While quite hoppy, it did not have the chlorophyll aftertaste I usually got from hoppy beers.
We tasted:
Dale's pale Ale
Mamma's Little Pils
And I forget the Other. The mind is a terrible thing to waste and I had a LOT of fun in the 60's and 70's!
But they were all tasty! If you were there, Feel free to fill in more info!!

A little more on the Oscar Blues subject! I did take home some of the "TEN-FIDY" IMPERIAL RUSSIAN STOUT. At 10.5 percent alcohol, this most definitely a STOUT stout! An almost syrupy brew, very heavy! But by not being overly hopped, it is almost sweet. Head is dark and lacy if poured properly and at 45 - 50 degrees. It has very little strong alcohol taste as one would expect from a 10.5 beer. This is a desert by it's self in my opinion! Very smooth coffee and chocolate taste, yet no burnt aftertaste. A poop load of body!!
I LIKE IT!
