wine festivals

Some friends and I went to the Gettysburg wine and music festival Sept. 12 and I would have to say I was pleased. There were roughly twenty or so vineyards represented and a nice variety of wines even one meadery. Not sure if I cared for the Mead , I hope I just didn't find the right one for me. The cost was 25 dollars per person so it wasn't exactly cheap but we did receive complimentary tasting glasses and had plenty of samples. The downfall was being the second day some vineyards ran out of some offerings but the trade off was a slightly smaller crowd. In October we are venturing to Alexandria for a wine festival which I have heard positive things about.
