Sanitizer

Have been hearing lately about switching sanitizers every few months to prevent the creation of a brewery bug (Strain that has over time become immune to the sanitizer you may be using). Just wondering if anyone has had this happen or if it is something that in theory can happen but never does.

My wife is a Nurse, so I occasionally hear about drug resistant strains off staph infections.  I visited a Pub Brew house the other day for lunch.  They kept their brewing room behind sealed doors/windows, employee's all wore dust masks, hair nets and white lab coats.  So everything coming into the brew room was either disposable or bleachable.  The room was all tile and washable surfaces.   Would be my guess sanitation was important to them.   We used to use a "quad" cleaner when cleaning Hospital/School Kitchen's.  That was supposed to be able to kill just about anything.  But after 20 years of living with a nurse, nothing beats bleach!
