I was wondering if you could just use a nice ale or lager kit and place some pumking puree in to the primary to get ahint of the pumking taste.  The complete pumkin pie mix has all the spices in it, as long as it has no sorbate to stop the the yeasties.

  I have no idea about the puree.  I thought about adding just the spices.  Another idea was to just add the clear liquid from the top of a freshly opened can of pumpkin.  Or, the clear liquid from home canned pumpkin chunks!   Shocked  There may be a few of those in the basement.... Hmmmmm
