Cheap Beer Kits

I found a great deal on Octoberfest / Marzen beer kits @ Target! MrBeer October fest refill kits for $4.78! These kits only make 2.2 gallons but I have had good experience making small additions to get 5 gallon batches. Use the LME from two kits, the sugar booster from 1 kit and a pound of comparable DME. The extra booster pack can be saved for latter brews. The kits also include enough PBW to sanitize equipment and bottles. The yeast expired in May, but the tested portion was active within an hour!
I bought 2 cases @ $114.72 (24 kits). Target has FREE SHIPPING on purchases over $50!! So it is possible to make 12 - 5 Gallon batches for roughly $130 (with the added DME). I'll also add an once or so of Noble Hops.
Cheers!!
Pete
