My room mate and I have found the perfect beer quality & taste meter.  Our dog.  No, before I hear from people bitchin about giving dogs beer, lets get this straight.  He, a male Jack Russel, 7 years old does not get to drink beer.  It's his sniffer, ie .. nose.  If he does not approve, a snort or so, he turns around and rejects even the smell.  He will often fart on it.  Stick his nose in a Hearty Stout or Malty Lager and his tail goes into overdrive!  Jumps into the closest lap and watches, tail going 100 mph the whole time.
Just don't put your glass where he can reach it!

That the same with our dachshund she loves beer.  Once she gets a smell of it she will beg until you give her some.
