After the great meeting Saturday evening I went straight to work figuring how to follow Ed's class.  I did post a theory on yeast starters, but also found at "Adventures in Homebrewing" a cheap stir plate!  $40 plus shipping, 10.35 USPS PRIORITY MAIL.  They have a drop down menu to select shipping rates, USPS was the cheapest.  Total is still about half of other HB stores.

Cheers!

Used my new stirplate yesterday for first time.  Made 2 starters for 2 brews I brewed yesterday.  I made a stainless steel stir stick, drill operated for the fermenters.  Both batches were bubbling away 20 minutes after pitching!
